Travel
is a great classroom. Traveling around America and Europe has a
powerful influence, helping me understand and see how different
atmospheres combined with new surroundings, create fantastic changing
color palettes. I can almost “feel” colors and am inspired
to translate this sensation of another place to canvas.
Diving and sailing around the Florida Keys, the Caribbean, and Hawaii,
has brought a parade of bright fluorescent colors of tropical fish,
corals, and plants to my ever-growing perception of color.
I
hope my paintings take you to the places of their inspiration.
I
grew up along the Florida Gulf Coast and now live near the Blue
Ridge Mountains in central Virginia with my husband, our Lab George
and Lollypop our cat.
